Orange, do you mind sharing what 3rd party offsite you used? This would help people avoid those and better understand why choosing an appliance based product over off-site. I was totally against this prior to learning how simple it is to implement and its effectiveness. Viruses are generally spread via email and for them to never enter your network is amazing, this cuts down on firewall traffic, failing AV or time critical AV updates, mail server process, etc. And to top all that off, you are guaranteed 100% anti-virus protection, so you have just added, what is another costly, costly, costly and one more time, costly way of protecting your network at the perimeter for no cost. Plus you get the added benefit of SLA's, mail holding if your internet connection is down or mail server is none reachable, so takes care of some disaster recovery provisioning.
